Haryana Government- solar panels are mandatory to all commercial and residential societies


Haryana government plans to launch its latest policy which says that rooftop solar panel unit is mandatory for all public building, like hospitals, government offices, schools etc. the government also said the Gurgaon and Faridabad are the states where the project is to be 1st implemented.

This initiative comes in progress after the WHO report which says Gurgaon is the 11th most polluted city in the world. Haryana government target 4200 MW solar power generation capacity. Presently only 25 MW power is generated by solar power unit in Gurgaon.

Solar power companies are happy with the Haryana government decision to see solar energy as the main source of electricity in Gurgaon. The government also giving subsidy on solar energy generation.

Haryana government set a criterion where solar panel system installation is mandatory in 500 Square yards or more plot area.
