IIT-Bombay Alumina student invented solar bike – traveled 7424 KM in 79 Days


IIT- Bombay student Mr. Sushil reddy invented the solar powered bicycle. Sushil Reddy riding it all across in nine states in India. In his journey, he travels 79 days and covering a whopping 7,424 kilometres.

In the year 2016, Sushil reddy and his team break the Guinness and Limca world record for the longest journey cover by the solar energy e-bike. Sushil reddy promoted his brand with the name of ‘The SunPedal Ride’ in France and The US. He and his team also visiting school, universities and companies to spread awareness about green energy in India.

Sushil reddy speaking to The Better India “The bicycle really is the mascot of the entire project”, he also added “I found there was a lot of misconception about the financial viability of solar power. When the fact of that solar power has a lot of financial benefits in the long term,”
