Investment in the Energy Sector of the Dehradun Will be 1900 Crores


In the coming years, the power sector in the state is expected to invest about 1900 crore. This will also create hundreds of opportunities for employment.

Energy Secretary Radhika Jha said that online proposals have been invited to make 200 MW capacity solar power projects through the state of Rajasthan in 11 hill districts of the state. The last date for submitting the proposal is March 15. The investment of the estimated Rs 900 crore will be invested in the establishment of these projects. At the same time, employment opportunities will be developed locally. With the setting up of these projects, the use of applied land in mountain areas will be utilized. The state will also get 200 Megawatts of electricity.

Similarly, in the hill districts of the state, the final date for submission of proposals from UREDA for the five Megawatts power generation and biomass units has been fixed as per the Pirul policy. These projects will have an investment of an estimated 50 crores. Pirul aggregation and sale will develop the income of local people, especially women. This will help prevent migrations in mountainous areas.

At the same time, proposals for the establishment of solar rooftop occupations of 2765 KW capacity of Haridwar and Dehradun in Uttarakhand Hydro Power Corporation Limited have been finalized. Establishment of these projects will be an investment of approximately 17.99 crores. An amount of 388.49 crores will be invested in the work of underground heating of low tension power line in the Kumbh area of Haridwar district.
