Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC) Gave an Interim Dividend of Rs 1143 Crore for 2018-19  


New Delhi: Public Sector REC Ltd. has paid an interim dividend of Rs 1,143.34 crore to the power ministry for the financial year 2018-19. In a statement on Friday, the company said in a statement on Friday that its Chairman and Managing Director (Finance) Ajeet Kumar Agarwal gave the RTGS receipt for payment of this amount to the Power Minister (Independent Charge) RK Singh on March 20.

Rural Electrification Corporation Limited REC’s board of directors has announced an interim dividend at the rate of 11 per equity share, which is equal to 110 per cent of the company’s total paid-up share capital.

In the first nine months of the current financial year, the company approved new projects worth Rs 96,357 crore and distributed 52,269 crore rupees to various units of the power sector.
