Patna: by installing a power plant on roofs of your homes, you can save up to 80 per cent electric power. The state government has started the plan to set up solar power plants. On Saturday, energy minister Bijender Prasad Yadav launched this scheme.
He also started its online registration portal. Through this portal, people will be able to apply for the installation of solar power plants on their roofs. Breda will observe the complete strategy. It is supposed that the new strategy will be capable to directly benefit from at least three to four thousand people.
The energy minister said that nature’s behaviour is continuously altering and it shows that we are stand-up at the door of big environmental hazard. Unconventional energy will be a better option to overcome this situation arising out of mistreatment of natural resources. Unconventional energy avoids us from the effects of global warming.
The Minister said that Bihar has great possible future for solar energy. Sunlight is offered continuously for three to four months. The accessibility of its light remains partly on the right, inadequate amount. In this sense, solar power plants can be used extensively.
CMD suffix Amrit of Principal Secretary Co-Power Holding Company informed that the entire process for the Solar Power Plant in Kajra and Pirpanti is in the final phase. In this regard, the proposal will be forwarded to the Cabinet shortly. There will be 250-250 MW capacity power plant. He said that natural resources are limited, in that we have to go on the path of renewable energy. Resco model is being adopted for the proper development of non-conventional energy in Bihar. By 2022, Bihar has created three thousand MW of power from renewable energy. There will be one thousand MW of electricity from solar power.
